In Year 11 the pupils will be preparing for their exam from the beginning of the year.  Along with their preparatory studies they will have an evaluation in November and a mock exam in Term 2. 

The following shows how the year will be planned out to help them in their final exam:  

• Pencil study
• Watercolour
• Acrylic paint
• Charcoal
• Soft Pastel
• Pastel

• This is an extension to year 10 work
• Pupils will be doing small extension exercises to remind them of techniques (see year 10 SOW

• Problem areas in individual work

• Individual work will be done with each student to help with problem areas throughout the first term
• Also, they will be given individual work on their most comfortable materials in order to prepare them for the exam

• Evaluation – November

• Year 11 will do an evaluation towards the end of term 1 to determine any problem areas that they still may have

• Preparatory studies will begin in term 2 to help them prepare for the final examination as well as their on-going artist study

• From term 2 onwards the pupils will be looking and making studies of different movements and artist to help them prepare for the final examination
• Movements (extension of year 10) – surrealism, still life, portrait, abstract, cubism, pointillism, landscape and impressionism – this is on-going throughout the year but will be more focused in term 2
